Anti-dark spot
This brown algae, also known as sea fern, changes in appearance in summer. Out of the water, it has a characteristic smell due to the presence of terpenes, which is the source of the iodine smell on the Hawaiian coast. It is able to regulate melanogenesis to lighten and shrink dark spots.
Dictyopteris membranacea is rich in anti-oxidants and has anti-aging properties. It also stimulates collagen, leaving the skin more supple. It is used in hair care products due to its ability to strengthen hair and stimulate its growth.
